Not Optimum: Hand 2
Very different situation to Hand 1 (other post), same decision. More straightforward analysis this time IMO.
SB is a 30/20 LAG (only 50 odd hands) and certainly capable of a light steal, his AF is 7... $3/$6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter Preflop: Naphand is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 6 folds, SB raises, Naphand 3-bets, SB caps, Naphand calls. Flop: (8 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Naphand raises, SB 3-bets, Naphand caps, SB calls. Turn: (8 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Naphand bets, SB raises, Naphand The PF cap must be something decent, and the flop cap has to beat any K (or be AK). He may be LAG but given the limited data I am probably looking at only a few hands that play this way. The Turn Ace does not slow him down, so we have precisely 4 possibilities IMO AA/KK/AK/99. Cap it through? or do you slow down to a Turn cap or CR the River and call a 3-bet? |

Re: Not Optimum: Hand 2
I reraise, he has a much wider range than that.
Edit: I cap the river. |

Re: Not Optimum: Hand 2
Even in the very limited range you suggest he could be playing, you are ahead half the time, against 9 ways of AK vs 3 ways each to have 99, KK and AA.
With an AF of 7 (even after only 50 hands), he is likely to be playing a much wider range of cards which you all are ahead of. I would reraise. |

Re: Not Optimum: Hand 2
I think you are limiting his hand range two much AQ AJ and hell any ace are in it especially in hearts and maybe even KQ or a flush draw. I am capping both turn and river in this heads up pissing match with a set every time.

Re: Not Optimum: Hand 2
He is very aggressive, so I am reraising him. In this situation his hand range is wide. While I think he has a good hand, you are good often enough that I think you should reraise turn. I

Re: Not Optimum: Hand 2
Just as everybody have suggested, your range of hands is way too narrow. If it would have been correct calling down is the only option. Since it's not I think the question is about raising a river bet or not. Without a "real" I would probably just call the river bet if he caps the turn.

I'd just like to note that the amount of ass-kissing of one Sfer is getting out of control. Yes, he's good and his posts are appreicated. No, he doesn't need to be reminded or confused with Piiop.

No offense to Sfer, I have plenty of respect for him and wish for guys like him to continue posting; but there seems to be a reply to each of his posts by some noob that makes me wanna throw up. |
