I honestly didn\'t know what to do here...
Big stack is raising it up every hand.

Re: I honestly didn\'t know what to do here...
My thoughts would be:
Sazhec has Bababooey beat here, will go to the flop ahead and it will be in the hands of the poker gods who actually wins the pot. Sazhec is not forced to play this hand here but the fact he has made this move as 2nd chip stack would signal strength to me (with 3 players still left to act). However his hand does not have to be premium here to make this move with Baba raising so many pots. If Sazhec wins the pot he moves to around 2400 and baba down to just over 5k. You are then in a 3way battle for an ITM spot it seems, probably a 30% chance of making third. This is why I would be calling here, AK here (unless you are up against AA KK) will be something like a 40% favourite against 2 players. If you win this hand and double up you have a great shot at winning the tournament. |

I agree with most of your thoughts though I'd say you have about a 40% chance of getting itm by folding. However, I call this also, AK is too strong to fold here, AJ I'd definatly fold though.

[/ QUOTE ] I am not sure what the exact odds would be if you folded here, but 40% seems way to high based on the fact there will probably be one massive stack (safe) one decent sized stack (relatively safe) and three others who have similar stack sizes. If the big stack wins the initial pot and you go down to 4 players, I can understand but you have to go with what you see before you in this hand/have seen in previous hands and expect the big stack will need an outdraw. |

Since the bigstacks are never totally safe I thought 40 was a good number |

AK with 5.5 BB left. It would take a very odd situation for me not to call (ie, a bunch of small stacks all in guaranteeing me an ITM spot).

You'll almost definitely have to double up to make the money, and tripling up here is as good an opportunity as any. You can then play for first instead of some stupid folding till you have t150 game with the other shorties. |

Re: I honestly didn\'t know what to do here...
I had a similar hand last night:
NL Texas Hold'em $50 Buy-in + $5 Entry Fee Trny:15023218 Level:10 Blinds(300/600) - Sunday, August 21, 04:05:03 EDT 2005 Seat 10 is the button Total number of players : 3 Seat 2: OLDGREYGHOST ( $3860 ) Seat 7: HERO ( $2060 ) Seat 10: z32fanatic1 ( $4080 ) Trny:15023218 Level:10 Blinds(300/600) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to HERO [ Ad Kd ] z32fanatic1 is all-In [4080] OLDGREYGHOST is all-In [3560] HERO??? Both players are decidedly fishy, raising and calling with a very large range. Do I fold, with one guy getting crippled and try my luck heads up? Or do I make a stand here and gamble for a better chance at first? |

Re: I honestly didn\'t know what to do here...
If you think you have them beat then make the call. If they were better players I would let them slug that hand out, but with two fish and a premium holding you stand a good chance of sitting on a t6,000 stack after the cards come out. Play for first here.
