Default Showing hand

Is there any value to showing hands when you dont have to?
The other night online, I was delt, 72o, 62o, and 72o, all in a row. And each hand I bluffed a won after the flop. Next hand I was delt a 89s. Flop was 976. I bet, he raised. I had a feeling that he was just sick of losing to trash. I called, knowing he had a worse hand, turn was a 2. I was short stacked so his raise put me all in. He turned over an A7, for a lower pair, I hit my straight on the river, but I already had him beat. I kow i only had a marginal hand, but I had a feeling that this guy was just pissed and didn't want to be bluffed again.
Tonight i think im going to try showing people my good hands and see what the effect of that is. I know I have a a very small sample size, and I was wondering what you experience with showing hands is. Helpfull or harmfull?

Default a ha

might work at the lower stakes, but a bad habit to have if you move up in limits.
