Evan: Why is this thread locked?

The thread I"'m new to poker and really confused" by jimmer1 has been locked, why?

He asked a very clear question in regards to how to calculate the odds of hitting his hand and you basicly went "blah blah blah we don't spoonfeed knowledge here"
and locked the thread. Or someone locked it anyway.

It would have taken you the same amount of time to say "post this in the beginers forum" or give the guy a quick summary of outs and pot odds or where to find it.

Is the 2 + 2 boards now for elite players only who have more than a basic understanding of poker?

These people on these forums are getting more arrogant every day

Agreed, he just wants to have the power to lock threads that he feels are unworthy, where in reality he wastes more time by locking it and explaining why he did such.

he asked a very open-ended (non)question, which couldn't be easily answered by anyone, since he never specified exactly what he wanted to know. (He asked about knowing the odds of making a hand by the flop and turn and river based on his cards, but he never mentioned what cards he had or was looking for information on). So he'll get answers like: Go to the beginner/probability forum; be more specific; it depends; I like tacos.

It's the same as me asking the question: Tell me all you know about poker. It's a useless post.
