88 and Awkward Stack Sizes
I know I'm kind of rapid firing, but I'm trying to keep with my line of thought.
Villian is quiet and seems to be of the tight-solid variety. 17%vpip 0 aggro factor. This is after about 20 hands, so really negligible but he seemed tight. First thought is that this is a good flop for me. With the stack size I also thought c-r all in would be good, because of the stack sizes. Then again, what does villian bet and fold to a raise here? Check-folding here is a good way to get run over, so I'm really lost and just throw chips at the pot. Re: 88 and Awkward Stack Sizes
Tuff hand. I would have thought fold but poker stove says your +EV to call if you put him on 22-AA, AJs+, AJo+. Question is would he ever make a move like that without the jack.

Re: 88 and Awkward Stack Sizes
That range seems a little generous for 22-66.
Do you like leading the flop? |

Re: 88 and Awkward Stack Sizes
Well, based on your read of him being tight I do like the lead. If you think my range is way to generous, then just let it go after the min-raise. However, when you lead at that flop you are screaming I missed - almost anyone who likes to bet when someone looks weak is going to fire in that situation. If you had seen him make any moves at all prior I think this is an easy call/reraise, but based on your read so far... let it go.
