Why is it not close? He's facing a 4x BB UTG raise and then a reraise over the top of that. The reraiser has to have JJ+ or AK in my opinion, with the UTG raisers range probably 99+ AQ+. I think it's a closer decision that one would think.

I probably do push due to the fact I rarely can lay down queens, but isn't this a spot where you could?

Pretty much. If you had JJ/TT/AK here it would be more interesting, but QQ is too freaking strong. Get it in there.

he probably wants to give himself room to fold if tsoprano comes over the top.

Or, he has kings and this is a bad beat post. But it doesn't matter because with 9xBB you're pushing.
