If its half blinds I dont muck any... the increasing limpers would make me value A5 and down more than A6-A9, implieds rise and you dont get stuck calling down OOP with a crappy kicker
Zero and one limper I am raising any ace in the limits I play, dont know how profitable this is in other games |

[ QUOTE ]
What off-suit aces are you mucking in the small blind vs. a passive big blind with: [/ QUOTE ] no limpers - none, I raise one limpers - depends on the limper and their position. If I had to make a general rule, I raise A8+, muck A7 and lower. Any ace is likely the best hand, but small aces out of position are hard to play. two limpers - raise AJ+, call AT, muck A9- three limpers - same as two limpers. Note, I play 3/6 where the SB is 1/3, which means I'm somewhat picky. Even at a normal 1/2 SB structure, I tend to avoid small aces because with lots of limpers there's a good chance my ace is dominated. Even with medium aces, there's a good chance I don't have my full 3 ace outs available, which means I'm relying on my middle kicker to be useful, and playing A8 and hitting the 8 with 4-5 players in the pot is a difficult position to be in. Completing with more of these weak aces is probably +EV in theory, but not in practice for me as I'm just not good enough to play them out of position. |
