Default how many buy-ins till you call it a day?

how many buy-ins will you go thru before you throw in the towel and call it a day?

does it differ if you're playing bad? taking bad beats?

i currently play NL$50, after 4 buyins i stop,

whenever i've taken that kind of hit, its always been 2/3 bad play, 1/3 bad luck

this comes down to table selection. are you going to end up getting paid off big by your opponents in the future? if so, then stay.

if you take a few beats at the table, stay as long as you're still playing pretty close to your regular game. if you're taking beats that means that your opponents are making mistakes.

if you're playing bad, then just leave. why play?

as long as you are playing better than your opponents and are playing well (these two don't necessarily mean the same thing ) then you should keep playing. the longer a winning player plays, the more they win theoretically as I've heard sklansky say

not me I think WTF that happens 1 in 10 times. I'll get it back from that moron blah blah blah, start playing more marginal hands in hoping to stack them and find myself blinding away or being faced with more difficult decisions when i'm steaming

When I hit 5 I'm generally getting a little anxious and not playing my best.
