A few newbie hands
Hi, I usually play full ring limit, but lately I've been trying to get a feel for NL, and 100 6max felt like a good starting playground. Here's some hands I could use comments on.
(Bison's converter wont behave with my NL hands, I hope this is allright) <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>***** Hand History for Game 2542969985 ***** $100 NL Texas Hold'em - Tuesday, August 16, 00:15:51 EDT 2005 Table Table 55875 (6 max) (No DP) (Real Money) Seat 1 is the button Total number of players : 5 Seat 2: ZMel7485 ( $89.74 ) Seat 5: HERO ( $67.97 ) Seat 1: VILLAIN ( $114.65 ) Seat 4: Raf1919 ( $19.40 ) Seat 3: rebmikec ( $0 ) Raf1919 posts small blind [$0.50]. Otherwise, standard or did I [censored] up somewhere? <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>***** Hand History for Game 2543274172 ***** $100 NL Texas Hold'em - Tuesday, August 16, 01:07:50 EDT 2005 Table Table 55021 (6 max) (No DP) (Real Money) Seat 2 is the button Total number of players : 6 Seat 2: Galas11 ( $258.05 ) Seat 5: HERO ( $89.17 ) Seat 4: VILLAIN2 ( $134.80 ) Seat 3: VILLAIN1 ( $140.22 ) Seat 6: RU4Sure ( $233.52 ) Seat 1: javedisgod1 ( $100 ) VILLAIN1 posts small blind [$0.50]. Re: A few newbie hands
1 is fine
2 is horrible fold pf...given how u played flop is ok , maybe bet a bit less...fold turn fold river. 3 is a bad beat post...you did fine if u want the converter to work then delete the word texas from the Hand history before putting it in the converter |

And concerning hand 2 I have a few questions - PF raise AJo in a 6max game - very wrong? - On the turn, I felt the $20 bet was so small.. 4:1 to the pot. What is the right play with different bet sizes here? By the way, it turned out the guy had pocket eights and spiked a set on the river.. |

[/ QUOTE ] im sorry...i didnt see 6 max..anyway...pushing flop with kings is a bit overkill here in my opinion...you want to allow the guy to make a mistake, his implied odds werent that good...Id go with the large bet thats + more EV but more variance too. Push just makes him fold unless he is a nut. Sorry about my AJ advice...i shouldnt post while playing...anyway....bet a bit less flop. pf play was fine...with 2 callers especially after that huge raise I dont feel that good on the turn...you asked them to define their hands with ur flop bet and they defined them as good. Unless you have a really good read on the river you REALLY REALLY gotta fold, but again you could have saved yourself this on the turn. Im trying not to be results orientated here...Villan catching a set of 8s on the river seems really unlikely given the play. |
