Re: 44
The pot isn't offering the odds for you to draw to 2 outs to try and hit trips. UTG might just be throwing in a bet to win the pot, but there really isn't enough in there to make it worth trying to keep him honest. Against a habitual bluffer that always bets into uncontested pots, I might check/call or raise for a free showdown. Don't think I'd want to mess with a low pair, though.

Re: 44
What, are you hoping he has a 3 or is semi-bluffing?
Now look at the pot size. |

Re: 44
Even if he is semibluffing, he likely has a ton of outs against your hand, and you aren't going to be able to tell when the river pairs his flush draw. The more likely scenario is he thinks his 8 or T is the best pair now. Even if you are closing the action on the turn, I think you fold here.

Re: 44
The only thing you "could" do is bet the turn yourself. After you check there is nothing you can do.

Re: 44
Yeah, you got your 7:1 pre-flop, whiffed once, whiffed again, and its time to shut it down. Opponents were idiots for checking it through on the flop. In fact, I see this all the time at 3/6, where small pairs are given a free look and make the checkers (who had the small pairs beat previously) pay all or most the way down. The great thing about 3/6 6max is that opponents ROUTINELY call every street with hands like 44 when they shouldn't, hoping to hit their 2 outer or that their hand is somehow good. Everytime they call with these hands while behind, you profit handsomely.
Check/fold the turn and get your money in somewhere more profitable. |

Re: 44
I would bet the turn occaisonally. Decide what to do on the river if you get called.

Re: 44
I think I'd either lead the flop or be planning on folding to any bet.

Re: 44
Is there supposed to be a question here? You either bet the turn or give up.
