Default AA, slightly passive player bets into me

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, Hero raises, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, BB folds, UTG folds.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero???

Did I even play correctly on the flop? I figured 4-flushes are calling anyway, kings may 3-bet me, a raise might scare out hands like 66/77 or an 8 from calling, and there are no other draws. Only problem is I did not define my hand, he may bet diamonds or 99 into me.

I raise the flop, and then puke on the turn. The cards were falling for me this way last night. Poker sucks.

FYP.

To OP: Raise the flop, fold the turn. You're drawing to two outs without the proper odds.

I'm raising the flop. If he 3-bets, I'm capping. If he checks the turn, I'm betting. If he bets the turn, I'm folding because if he is passive I doubt he will bet the turn after the capped flop unless he had the K or the 8.

If I raised/capped this on the flop I would feel a lot better about being passive with that 8 on the turn.
preflop: standard
Flop: raise/cap if 3 bet
Turn: call or let it go here if you're going to fold it at all
River: call or check behind

Raise the flop, and don't be afraid of a 3-bet. You are disciplined enough of a player to fold Aces in this spot.

Turn is an easy fold.

Why do people want to raise the flop?

Because there are plenty of hands that we beat, that would bet into us on this flop?

That's a fair question.

I think plenty of people will bet a pocket pair or x8 in this situation. Some will bet a flush draw. So there's plenty of hands you are ahead of. I think you raise for value and if he pops it again you know you are in trouble.

Plus, many people would slowplay trip Ks or check raise etc... So I think the chances he has 3Ks, is actually not as high as you would think.

isn't that the point of simply calling? why fold hands that are drawing thin or bluffing?
