limit holdem torunament books: do they exist?
I´m looking for solid strategical advice on limit hold´em tournaments. I searched the forums but didn´t find what I´m looking for. Both links and book recomendations are appreciated. I know there´s plenty on NL, but limit seems much harder. Correct me if I´m wrong.

Re: limit holdem torunament books: do they exist?
Have you tried Lee Jones "winning low limit holdem" ?
or are you after higher limits ? texas holdem for advanced players by Slansky is a good one. |

yep your right. apologies. i didn't read the question properly. However you can port his strategy over to limit tourneys. although you'll be playing tight throughout the whole tourney.

There is one. I own it, forget what it is called.
Negraneu raved about it in an old RGP post. All I remember is that it revolved around classifying players into chategories with animal names. I liked the book though. If you PM me or bump the thread tonight, I have the book at home |

Old dude with a grey beard and a cowboy hat on somewhere on the cover. I think Phil H. stole the animal bit from this guy |

Re: limit holdem torunament books: do they exist?
Tournament Poker For Advanced Players is written primarily with a view to limit tournaments, and is very applicable to Hold'em limit tournament play. In my opinion, following WLLH in a tournament would be a very bad idea. A solid understanding of the concepts in SSH, HEPFAP, and TPFAP should give you a good base to develop limit tourney skills.

Please tell me you're not talking about that one. -Scott |
