Default Re-Raising with AAxx

Do people tend to reraise with AAxx? I tend to do so, but when I get two or more callers and miss an A on the flop, I'm almost always creamed by some random two pair or whatever. I'm not sure it's an +EV play to reriase unless you can get the other guys to fully commit their stacks preflop . . .

Any comments?

If you only reraise with AA, you're giving away half your hand. If no one else flops, they can easily fold. If they flop as little as bottom two pair, they are going to play back at you. Personally I only reraise AA if I can get at least 50% of my stack or my largest opponents stack (lots of shorties in the games I play) or if I'm playing LAG and also reraising a lot of other hands.

Thanks for the comments. I am slowly realizing that AA is one of my least favorite hands to raise for the exact reasons you state.

I think you're right on the money. Thanks for the comments.

I either raise alot of my hands or none of them. When you raise in a lowlimit game people tend to assume you have AA.

This is one thing I'll never get. You only ever reraise AAxx. I reraise a fairly wide variety of hands when I'm playing fast. Anytime I reraise AAxx, I just get a bunch of callers. It seems like most times you reraise AAxx, it gets all in and we're playing with the same goddamn players!

I have noticed that. Why do you think that is??? It might have something to do with your post-flop play.

I'm not going to get it into it, but yeah I play some hands a touch more aggressively after the flop than you do and I get myself in an occasionally bad spot. I think I also pick up more pots on the flop and turn than you because it is somewhat more difficult to put me on a hand.

I'm generally playing a lot more hands a day than you as well. Four tables for two - five hours day is anywhere from 350 - 1000 hands. People notice me, I guess.
