Default My first FF draft of the year

I'm not thrilled about missing out by one pick twice on good value starting QBs (Palmer in the 9th round and Hasselbeck in the 8th) On the whole, i think my team is very meh. good depth and I tried to take boom/bust picks for my backups to hopefully spark some trades:

Standard ESPN.com scoring, you have to draft a full starting lineup (QB, RB, WR/RB, 2 WR, TE, K, D), but you bench can be anything.
10 team leage and i started w/ the 5th pick in round 1. (which i hate)
(it went LT, Manning, Culpepper, Alexander)

QB: Leftwich (10)
McNair (14)

RB: Priest (1), Rudi Johnson (2)
Tatum Bell (4), L. Johnson (8), M. Bennett (9),
M. Moore (15)

WR: C. Johnson (3), D. Jackson (5th)
C. Chambers (7), C. Rogers (11), T. Calico (12)

TE: Whitten (6)

K: Wilkins (16)

D/ST: Atlanta (13)

thoughts?

M Bennett seems a great value pick there. Good job getting Moore too. Looks pretty solid to me.

Great team! There is probably a better defense available than Atlanta. Whitten is a great pick. If Calico stays healthy, should be a breakout year for him.

It's been my experience that having a RB and WR from the same team isn't a good thing.

I also think you may have reached a little bit for Witten, althought I don't play any ten-teamers so I'm not sure. And I'm staying away from McNair, although who knows what was available in Round 14.

On the positive side, you made very smart plays in grabbing Bennett/Moore where you did, Leftwich where you did, and nabbing Holmes' backup.

Looks good to me. I think Leftwich will have a good year for you. Getting the Vikings backfield at 9 and 15 is great value picks. If Tatum Bell gets hurt early the running back positon should be very clear in Min and give you a perfect fill in.

gonzo, gates, shockey, and crumpler were all taken before him and i wasn't sure how long clark would last. as it turns out, clark didn't go until the 8th, so i could have gotten him in the 7th.
