AK question
Without considering reads, say you are new to a table.
Stacks are in and around 3k for all players low being 1500, high 4k. 3500 for the original raiser, 3000 for the hero. Blinds are 50/100 Hero picks up AK in MP. Situation 1. - A min raise in front of you. Situation 2. - A 3xbb raise in front of you. Is AK a hand you re raise with in these situations? My thinking is that doubling the min raiser to 400 woudld be a good play. As for 3xbb, my first thought is calling, a read on the raiser would help in this decision. What do you think? |

You're not going to price out any hands you want to fold, like 77 or 66, and you're giving the right odds to a hand like KQ, KJ, AJ, etc |

Re: AK question
I would reraise both.
The min raise to 200 I would reraise to 800. If the raise was to 300 I would put it to about 1K. EDIT: I think Gavin is right here and push, 1k is bad given your stack is only about 3-4K. I may be alone in this put I hate just calling with AK. If you have a read on the initial raiser then you may be inclinded to fold to a min bet reraiser but other than that I think I am calling in most situations if played back at. Hotrod |

Re: AK question
You would have to def raise first hands here, as you have tot ot charge others for playing with you. The first i would bring to 600. The second i might push depending on a read, i might just call as well, you are still pretty healthy right now, a raise would commit 1/3 of your stack here. If he calls and bets out you when this board wont hit you 2/3 times its tought to play. Eh i guess i just like pushing better for that reason.
