Default AK Hand NL 100

Villian (120) leads for 4 from UTG folded to hero(100, A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) who makes it 10 on the button Villian calls.

Flop comes K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Pot (20)
Check Check

Turn 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Villian leads for 10 hero calls.

River 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
VIllian bets 20 hero pushes.

Hero reraises liberaly preflop. Villian could very well play AA in this manner preflop. Anygood? or schould I just drop down to kindergarden?

Just a call IMO. The only hands that are going to call your push is 8x, Kx, KK, or AA. If he's playing QQ this way, you're not, NOT, going to get a call. If you're splitting to AK or KQ, its easier to just call, and you're not putting your whole stack at risk.

i like your line until the river. this push is bad.

if i raise AKs against an UTG raiser, i'm making it around $14 pre-flop.

i don't like checking this flop. after the raise, continue to show strenght and make a bet... i'd make a 2/3 size bet on the flop, slow way down if called.

What are you trying to accomplish with that push? Fold out a split?

I would call, just because i would put him on a split and i dont want to donate to the rake.

actually I put him on queens, he is not checking the flop with AA or AK.

When I played the hand I thuought it was likely that his QQ would call my push in the confusion. He cant put me on AA/KK or AK but he can put me on a 7. As I said, I reraised quite liberally preflop.

Hmmm. I really think you'll have a hard time representing a 7. And even if you can, putting him only on QQ seems dangerous. This more looks like a strong hand trying to represent a 7. Just call. So many things has to fall in place for your push to be +EV. He has to have QQ, he must be willing to call with QQ etc.

I really can't see anything that you beat calling here. all I can see calling is a king or AA. Nobody with a king is folding this....seriously doubt that QQ calls that bet.
