Easy fold on the bubble?
200/400 Blinds and I am the BB
Seat 1: BXBOB7 (2875) Seat 4: MarMik24 (1390) Seat 8: yodasworld (2855) Seat 9: Hero (880) yodasworld posts small blind (200) Hero posts big blind (400) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ Ah, 6c ] BXBOB7 raises (800) to 800 MarMik24 raises (1390) to 1390 MarMik24 is all-In. yodasworld folds. Hero folds. Almost half my chips are in the pot, but two guys are going to tangle. Is this a pretty standard fold? |

Re: Easy fold on the bubble?
I don't think this is a standard fold. You are being laid 6:1 odds!
Call & hope to spike a # of 6s or hope that the min-raiser busts |

Re: Easy fold on the bubble?
But you have to beat both of them not to finish 4th here. How likely is that to happen with A6o, really? I am almost sure it's more +EV to let these two battle it out, and pray UTG wins.

Calling here would be criminal. Other than getting a walk, this is the dream scenario for you.

Re: Easy fold on the bubble?
This is just my opinion but I absolutely positively HATE folding when half my stack is in my blind. That such a play makes it very very very very very very very hard to comeback.
Let's say BXBOB7 folds to MarMik24, which is likely since BXBOB7 would still be in the hunt with about 2000, leaving everybody makes with at least 2000 chips and you with only enough chips to survive one round blinds. When you post your blind, your opponents would very likely call your last blind then check it down in hopes that you bust out. By foldind a when half you stack is in pot already you only screw yourself over of getting in the money, let alone winning the whole thing. Had you pushed the other half of your stack in this hand at least you would have had a chance to at least double up your stack. It may be a slim chance it is you last real chance of making a comeback. |

Re: Easy fold on the bubble?
BXBOB7 folds, are you kidding me? Have you not seen the pot odds he would have? If he folds that he sucks at poker, period.
He will not fold. It's really that simple. He has a chance to knock the guy out, for 500 chips. Even if he loses, you're still way below him. What the heck are you on about? Sorry, but this post shows a total lack of understanding of the bubble and many key concepts. Also, if you call, you're pricing in UTG even more to call, and you still need to beat both of them not to finish 4th. It's a 100%, cast iron, definite, FOLD. I can't make this more clear. |

But he's getting cheap odds to knock out a player. I fold here and expect Bob to call. |

Re: Easy fold on the bubble?
Maybe folding on the button is not a bad idea for bubble play, though the odds of you winning any money is very unlikely.
