ATo also a big loser, Hand 1.
Inspired by TomBrooks' series, I also have a hand that haunts me, namely ATo. I seem to have the worst luck with this hand, and it costs me more money than any other, winning less than a quarter of the time: not good for a hand we often raise! It's gotten to the point where I almost feel like folding it preflop, and indeed I won't play it anymore unless I'm at least middle position.
So, here's the first of a couple ATo hands of mine from my hand history. I can't give thorough reads on these unfortunately, since it's been a while since these hands occured and I don't know what kind of reads I had on a particular villain at the time. First hand, in BB. Villain is a loose-passive who will limp with any ace and offsuit connector. I don't like raising AJo or ATo from BB preflop since I'm out of position for the rest of the hand and I'm not getting anyone to fold, although I'm sure there will be disagreement there and I'm open to reasons why. Did I overplay this once the villain woke up?
