How should I react to the turn?
I had no real read on the villain, probably because of my lacking attention, it seems like I can get a tentative read on a player when I am playing my A game since I 4-table 6 max.
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls, 2 folds, Hero checks. Flop: (2.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP calls. Turn: (2.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP raises, Hero ???. I suspected that I was beat since it is a common line for someone holding some strength to play this line. |

This one belongs to the muck.

Re: How should I react to the turn?
Well the truth is, I've tried plays like the villain as a stone bluff on players with similar stats to mine. I suppose I could not stand to be outplayed like this, I know I will pay off a great amount and is a leak I must fix but how do I eliminiate this paranoia and gain confidence that a fold in these situations is the right decision?

Re: How should I react to the turn?
By saying "next time, when I have a real hand, I'll call his bit and check-raise the river" and hope he doesn't notice. Villains at 1/2 up to 3/6 just aren't smart enough to do this as a bluff on the turn, so most pairs should be tossed here.

Re: How should I react to the turn?
this pot is really small. you are basically 3:1 on a call down. if he made a move, good for him. IMO such a turn bluff is not +EV in such a tiny pot. punish him when he tries it again later.
