Default Home Game Occurences and what they mean.

About 2 weeks ago I played in a home game (NLHE tourney-5 to 7 players in both tourneys). A few things happened (not a bad beat story) and was wondering if the board could see what they think of the hands.

1) 4-5-6-J-3 board and it was checked down between me and the 'expert' of the room. Expert bets T15 (Starting stacks 100, blinds were around 2-4 at this time) I have A7, and raise to 30, expert folds and shows one card...7! Read me for 7-8!!! "You didn't bet on the flop, so I thought you had 7-8."

a)Is this a terrible fold as I think it was?
b)Should I now bet my big hands strong against this person?

2)On a hand I was not in board 6-6-5-3-6. Once the six hits the expert's face does something you only see after whiffing sour milk. Expert had the case 6

a)Was that a weak=strong face or "I ain't getting no more chips in the pot?

3)While waiting for a person to act, a player picked up their cards and started to shuffle them. Does this sound like boredom or a tell of weakness?

4)Flop of 2-7-T. I bet(6Ks), player calls after a pause. Turn J, check-check. River 2. I bet about 1/3-1/2 pot. He thinks for a minute and I say "Wondering if I have your 7 beat?" He nods and mucks after a minute.

a)Will this not work on a good player? I would have to say yes, but who knows.

5)One player on occasion reraises someone all-in. When it was down to 3, with a flop of 6-9-3 I bet (99) he calls. Turn Q, I bet he goes all-in somewhat fast. I call and he has 3Q, river blank.

a)Is the speed at which someone goes all-in something to look at? I know it is somewhat valuable, but how much so?

Thanks for reading/responding!

1) not enough information. i assume there's a possible flush on board too? how big was the pot?

2) some of both, i'd guess.

3) this is definitely an "i'm waiting for my turn so that i don't fold out of turn" tell. if they do that and then raise, look out. then it becomes a "weak=strong" tell.

4) eh. some guys will call if you talk like that...but that probably doesn't have anything to do with how good he is. a worse player is more likely to call, i guess. a good player would have the discipline to fold there. too many ways to lose.

5) this is player specific. you'll have to find that out yourself.

read caro, btw, it handles a lot of this stuff.

For the first hand, the pot was around 15-20 before the expert bet their 15. Best poss hand was 7-8, no flush poss.

I have read Caro's book a little bit (read it once, brush over it on occasion) but it is kind of hard to ask a book a question.
