Default Set on 3-flush flop.

well, i think i played it decently. Plus the turn push eliminates a nasty river that i'm fairly pot-commited to with any kind of real bet-which i have to make.

so, what do you think?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed) converter

UTG ($100.15)
UTG+1 ($203.40)
MP1 ($379.05)
Hero ($199)
MP3 ($181.30)
CO ($300.55)
Button ($197)
SB ($196.15)
BB ($183)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero calls $2, 1 fold, CO raises to $8, 1 fold, SB calls $7, 1 fold, Hero calls $6.

Flop: ($26) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $20, Hero raises to $60, CO folds, SB calls $40.

Turn: ($146) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $131 (All-In), SB folds.

Final Pot: $277

and now my bb/100 in 200nl is 100bb/100

why try to take it down preflop?

However, i will try to work this in b/c the preflop limp-call screams lower pp.

No, I wasn't suggesting that you do. I'm actually asking why!

Dude, I suck at the NL. Don't think otherwise.

Ok, I'm going to come out with it.

I'm the SB in this hand. I was going to post it myself. Imagine my suprise.

ok well, i like to limp all pp's jacks and under (jacks too when in the blinds or ep or 2nd/3rd into a pot) b/c i've found that the more players there are to a flop=the more players that will pay me off.

Also, the chance of being reraised is a large threat here.
Why call a flop for 20-25ish (a decent reraise with a couple of limpers) and maybe destroy the implied odds that you have with a 8 dollar preflop bet?

Basically i'm 8/1 to hit a set about 10/1 to win (usually)
if villian has 150 behind then there are several scenario's:
a)i raise to 8, he reraises to 25ish (assuming i can take his stack) i'm only getting about 6/7 to 1 on my call.
advantage-his hand is fairly well defined
disadvantage-improper odds

b)i limp and villian raises to 8.
advantage-i am getting more than proper odds to call-even if i can only get around 1/2 his stack in the middle and take it down AND his hand is decently defined.
disadvantage-if he completely misses and folds i earn less money.

Clearly i like option b better, because in the long run is is a better play.

Fundamentally, its always sound to see cheaper flops with suited connectors and pocket pairs.

I did. I'm wondering why you called that push on the river. I would have turbomucked with the same hand you had. I'm not saying you were wrong to call. I'm wondering what you were thinking.

I'll tell you what I had, but I don't want to spoil the discussion. And I would like to hear what others have to say on both sides.
