Default no reason to play BM over internet anymore

played for first time in BM poker room since over a year ago. exclusively online player since.

i must say i do not enjoy playing BM anymore, not nearly as much as online.

First off, i had to wait 2 hours toget a seat in the game i wanted, and i couldnt move to far off so as to not miss my name when it came up.

Then, i sat down, and the seat and space i had was sooo small and crammed, with two burly guys beside me.

Then, half the table was smoking nonstop, with additional smokers right behind me at other table.....i absolutely rieked of nicotine afteward....

The guy to my right has a nasty cough and keeps wiping his nose, which im sure gets on the chips.

and the rake was 10% up to $5 max, so almost every pot the rake was 4-5$.

And your obliged to tip the dealer every pot you get. so every pot u win, between rake and tip, u pay $6.

it was sooo slow, dealer had to shuffle and cut and deal

every now and then the changed decks which took about 5 minutes.

now that ive tasted online i cant go back.....

I have the big problem of being super bored playing live now. It is just so slow that it effects my game. Online poker has given me live game A.D.D (attention deficit disorder)

I play lots online but I still find I love live action poker. Nothing like being on the glass at the Taj stacking a sea of red when u win a monster and watching the gapers trying to figure out how much money it is (gotta love it). My advice...play higher live. It will keep your interest. For example, I usually play low limits online but have been playing 10-20 live as of late...it definitely keeps your interest. Also, people play worse live and when you win you can stuff your wallet INSTANTLY with 100's without having to go through a whole ordeal.

I agree Jeffage. Also, you get to meet and talk to REAL people, rather than just typing "lol, nh, gh, n1, wtf, bbs, etc. . ." It is more fun to win a pot when you get to personally stack it, like 600 dollar 10-20 pots that take a few minutes to tidy up, rather than watching a number change. . .

Unfortunately, PokerPaul is in toronto, and because of retarded city by-laws there are no legal B&M rooms in the city. The closest casino is an hour away.

The only place you can find pokers game in the province of Quebec (beside underground games) is at the Akwasasne Mohawk Casino (AMC) and from what I've eared, it is badly runned.

The governement control all gambling activities including videopoker in bars, loto and casinos. Saddly, they don't spreed poker in casino... For equal space use, slots get more money in...

Online poker definitely has its advantages. You can always find a game (at any hour), you can sit comfortably, don't have to put up with smokers (cigarette and cock), you can listen to music, surf the net to keep you occupied, watch porn.

But chatting with friends during a live play is a lot of fun too. And it's fun to stack the chips. But a lot of the players that you aren't friends with can be really annoying. Plus it's really boring to have to watch a hand. But online the hands go much quicker, and that's cool.

I still love live poker, and prefer it to internet...although I really enjoy internet poker as well.

I like being able to look at the guy I just check-raised. Or look for the tell its a bluff-bet on the river. I also like the real chit-chat that goes on.

Another big reason for me is the live players suck. My live 10-20 games are very profitable, but the varience is high.

Its easy to rake $500-1000 out of my 10-20 live games in 6-8 hours. try that on line.
