I usually don't consider top two pair junk, but anyways. I think you should have check/raised the turn, or bet out. I hate checking a monster on the turn without the intention of check/raising and trying to get villain more committed to the pot. Even a minimum reraise is good on the turn imo. Then, the river plays itself.

I agree. I thought about cr'n the turn but didn't want to knock him off if he was on a draw.
