Default Small pot, Mid Pair - How do you handle this?

Villains are 30/1 ish. They like to bet when they have a hand, but I don't have enough hands on the bettor to say I have anything other than a vagueish idea he probably isn't bluffing.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, SB folds.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks.

River: (3.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP2 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 5.50 BB

Flop: Would I be better off check raising? These guys are fairly passive and I think it checks around 60% of the time.

Turn: should I have kept firing?

Small pot, I am thinking I should have folded the river bet. Thoughts?

Nice flop bet. I play the turn the same as I'm weak and a 3 flush just fell. Easy river fold.

I haven't played full ring for a while but this is an easy check-fold. (In 6-max as well)

I don't know if I like betting this flop. There's 4 players, and the board is fairly coordinated. You're unlikely to win by picking up the pot now, and there's tons of redraws against your hand.

I'd check and fold to a raise, yes this weakish. But let's assume we have middle pair on a two flush board, as well as our kicker may as well be dogshat. We can't really protect our hand here by raising because anybody with a pair or draw isn't going anywhere. Espeically when theirs 4 players to this flop. And anybody with a 8x has you beat as well.

hope it worked out.
Thats my grunch

Nice flop bet.

Just curious why? I always check/fold the flop here because of the mini pot and coordinated board.

I don't bet the flop or call the river here

I'd check/fold the flop. Your hand sucks dude, the pot is tiny and the board is uber co-ordinated. Take risks in big pots, not small ones.

No way I'm calling that river either.

I cannot understand the rivercall in a small pot on a 4 flushboard with eights up.

I'd also check/fold the flop.

I am willing to accept that my agression has gotten a little out of hand. I spent so long struggling with being passive. I overshot the mark and need to pay more attention. Raising middle pair is like a religion with me now.

On the river, as soon as I called I said "Stupid."
