Default back to basics? 1

Ok guys. I'm going back to basics.

UTG is new to the table. So far, he's been relatively quiet. Some preflop limps, flop folds.
UTG+1 is stacking off. He's really good at losing at poker.

Is this, or is this not, a WA/WB situation and why?

You're more likely to be WA than WB here. The prescence of the third player makes it a raise situation.

i raise at some point here for value, as i imagine you're WA, but you have to walk that fine line between getting a value raise and getting the very last of UTG+1's stack. but once he calls that turn, i say go for the raise. if not there, i like to do it in WA/WB situations on the flop so i can get out cheaply if WB

cr the turn or flop.

i think its hard to tell if you are wa or wb if you havent defined your hand at all. if you cr and he 3bets you, then its probably a wb situation given the board and pf action.

You need to lead the river. If he has QQ or some other big pair he will usually check behind and you miss a bet. I think your ahead here more often than not but I think the wa/wb line you took is good because it keeps big pocket pairs betting at you and doesn't give them a chance to realize they're beat.

Not sure if I would raise at all, I think this looks like a WA/WB situation. That being said, I would bet the river. It would suck if he checked that thru with QQ or something.

I thought the line was check/call, check/call, bet.

hmm actually, i think i might have misread your question.

with that drawless board and trip aces, you either have him destoryed or you are dominated. so yes, one of you is most likely drawing to few outs. and its probably him....put in a raise.

I was initially thinking this looks standard, but he's likely to take this line with TT-KK as well (and they are more likely than him having the case ace).
