Pushing with 2nd pair
Paradise WPT subsupersatellite, blinds 100/200. I have 1000 left in BB after posting. 4-way limped pot. Everyone in pot has me covered. I check with A4o.
Flop comes 942r. SB checks. I push for 1000 at 800 pot. Good or bad play? |

Re: Pushing with 2nd pair
I don't think you have much of a choice, though it's very possible for one of the limpers to have a hand like T9, J9s, or 88-55.
You'll hate yourself if it's checked around. |

Re: Pushing with 2nd pair
looks pretty standard. you have 5 bets, and some FE. i make this play even when i think its likely that im behind, because its time to get lucky, or start another tourney.

Re: Pushing with 2nd pair
I figured I had puts and pot ods if I was behind. Got called by 98, which I had a 22% chance against.

Re: Pushing with 2nd pair
As a short stack I make this type of move all the time.
I like it. |
