Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
I would simply call. You've got position and you have no need to reason to further try and push the blinds out.
If you are faced with a re-raise you may be pushed off your hand which may or may not be better then the villan's. You cna see how he plays the flop. |

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
Why not raise for value to:
Charge his overcard draw to pair. Get more chips in the middle the times he misses pairing. Get more chips in the middle the times he has a smaller PP and misses the flop & the flop has overs. Edit: prevent the blinds from getting frisky with small PPs and suited connectors. |

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
I usually like to reraise here to try to isloate here with my big pair. Just calling the pot might not be a bad idea too, since there arent tons of people in the pot. You do have position so after the flop you can always see what you wanna do if you believe your 50 /50 but more times then not you have the best hand.

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
Not rasing is very bad. Why do you want to allow this hand to be played multiway? You have the best but somewhat vulnerable hand the vast majority of the time. If you get RR by CO then just go/call all in or fold, depending on player.

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
As usual I missed 2 limpers.
I would re-raise for value & to isolate, we don't want the mistake of playing this hand multiway. |

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
I think with the 2 limpers, it's more necessary to reraise. If CO had opened the pot, I might just call if I thought he'd fold dominated pairs or aces to a 250-300 reraise. But with the limpers and decent sized pot, I think it's more likely someone will come along when you reraise. If CO pushes, I really don't know, but you probably have a call given the pot odds. I'd instacall at the 22s, but maybe not at the 55s.

I'd make it like 400 to go [/ QUOTE ] If you're going to re-raise 40% of your stack, why not push? To the others advocating a re-raise -- how much? 200? 300? |

Re: QQ on the button against PF raiser Lvl 2
Usually I would raise to 300. Unfortunately, you don't have much ammunition left for the flop. I think it's more important to make this a heads up hand though.
The interesting scenario is what do you do if it's heads up and the flop has an Ace in it? |
