Default When the board gets progressively more scary

Button is a moderately tight player who hasn't gotten out of line in the two orbits we've sat together. SB is your typical loose-passive calling station. MP1 is a rock.

Paradise Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

My standard play is a 3-bet preflop, but with a limp from a rock and a raise by a tight player, I wussed. In retrospect I'm thinking with 2 extra players padding the pot it's an easy 3-bet, no?

Flop: (8 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero raises, MP2 folds, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (7 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls.

River: (10 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets...

I bet planning to call a raise on the river.

Comments on all streets welcome.

why would we call a raise here? on a 4 straight and a 3 flush how often are we going to be good if raised by someone who called to the river? what about a c/c if it's one bet to you/closing the action? or a bet/fold, if you could do it.

3-bet PF
bet/fold river - there's a reason you have reads.

But I'm not confident enough that I'm not getting raised by two pair, 99, or similar to fold the river

You're not a loose-passive calling station or a rock, are you? Are you raising a river bet with 99 here? What makes you think they would?
