Default When to go all-in?

I have a question if I made the right play going all-in under the following situations. If not then I'm curious as to what you would have done. Thanks in advance.

#1:
On the button with KJo, everyone folds to me. I have 19,000 in chips and the blinds are 4,000/2,000. 61 of 2500 players left in the tournament.

#2:
Early position with AJo, fold in front of me. I have 9,000 in chips and the blinds are 800/400. 147 of 2500 players left in the tournament.

Push #1 - I consider this a near any-two situation. Easy push.

Fold #2 - Too many people behind you, blinds aren't that large yet. Easy fold.

Isn't it nice when we can all agree on something for a change?

I always feel weird about playing AJ or A10 from EP. I usually limp with them if my stack is reasonably healthy (18bb or more). But I always have trouble with it if I'm less than that (unless I'm desperate and have to push of course). It always feels like I'm about to lose all my chips and I just cant bring myself to just fold it because that just seems like a waste.

I like the limp because if I get reraised I can usually get an idea of what I'm up against depending on the actions of the table, and can drop it quick if I think I'm against a bigger hand or take a risk by calling a reasonable raise and seeing what develops. Is there a better way of playing this from EP?

I push both of them.

In the second example hero has only 11XBB left, 9XBB when the blinds go up, and less after the blinds pass him. Hero is going to have to gamble soon to get some chips, I'd rather go here while I still have teeth.

Default #1 Results and #2 further discussion.

It seems like #1 was an easy all-in as everyone agrees. What actually happened in the hand was I went all-in and BB called with KQ. He sent me packing.

#2 one person said to fold, another said limp, and another said all-in given the situation (blinds are about to pass me, which will eat 1,200 of my chips leaving me with 7,800). Anyone else have any thoughts?
