Default Can anyone lay this down?

One day for fun I decided to buy into the 2000nl table... I'm normally a 100nl player.
Literally the first hand I get dealt kings.

folds around
Villian(SB) - raises 80
Hero (BB) - reraise 200
Villian - pushes (5000)
I have 1300 behind me.

Would you lay this down?
This hand has been killing me for weeks.

what were you doing playing 2k nl if you are a 100 player?

anyway, no you can't fold for 1300 blind vs blind, i'd expect to see AK and even QQ a good deal of the time.

Taking a shot. I was in the middle of a hot streak and was looking for AA or KK. Empire thought it would be funny to give me the latter.

Your 200 raise does not necessarily show strength to him, it could be a way of taking back the control of the hand before it is played, or playing back at his possible bluff. His all in is letting you know that he indeed actually has a hand and wasn't bluffing with the 80. I don't think he does it with ak, especially since you have 2 of the kings. And I don't think aces push here because he still doesn't necessarily have you committed. I don't think this hand wants a call because it knows it could be up against two overs or even a slightly higher pair. I don't even think it's as good as queens. Feels like 99-jj.

yeah but why not take a shot at the 200 or the 400. 100 to 2000 is quite a jump.

The biggest problem with making such a huge jump in stakes is dealing with the increased aggression. At .5/1, you can maybe lay this down sometimes (I still wouldn't). At 10/20, laying down KK here is an enormous mistake.
