best selection of books in Vegas
Just wondering where is the best place to get books/DVDs/Cd's in Vegas is.
I will be heading out there in a week and wish to pick up some more rare books such as Petriv's Hold'em Odds book, Buntjer's tournament book and Phil Gordon's new DVD. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

I agree. This really is the only choice. There are a bunch of places that sell poker books, I assure you, this is your one-stop place to go.

There's no other place to go. Especially if you're looking for rarer items. Howard Schwartz, the owner, is THE guy to talk to about less common books.

Re: best selection of books in Vegas
Absolutely. They have books there that I've never seen any place else. Gambler's Book Club (AKA Gambler's Book Shop)
Howard is a great guy, and Brian and Leo are also very knowledgable about the books they carry. On the corner of Charleston & 11th street. A little North and East of the Strip. |

HA HA! Yes, try to park in the street. If you park in the back don't smash the pigeons!

LOL. Yes, the birds like to hang out back.
And transients. There were some pretty sketchy people coming out of the Burger King across the street. |

Re: best selection of books in Vegas
There is also the Gambler's General Store on Main Street. (South of the Plaza downtown)
But, the selection of books/DVD's is not as good and the employees generally don't know about the products they are selling. They do have more gambling stuff, but not more books or DVD's than GBC. |
