Default Deep stack tourneys

Which site is best to practice deep stack tournaments (STTs or MTTs)?

Play cash games. They are always running and you can buy-in for 100BBs usually.

The stars $3 rebuys play like deep stack tourneys after the rebuy period.

I also understand that Full Tilt is planning a deep stack (possibly multi-day) tourney for the fall.

this is the structure a friend of mine needs practice for (he's won a seat to the VC Poker Cup through a qualifier).

Blind structure

Is stars rebuy similar to this?

Coming out of the break the blinds will be 100/200 and the average stack about 4000-5000. But the blinds (in most of their tournaments, like the rebuy one people are talking about) go up every 15 minutes. And antes are used.

They didn't say the Stars rebuy tournies have deep structures. They said they *play* like deep stack tournies because of all the rebuys. The structure is the same as other Stars tournies. But if he's trying to get experience playing in deeper tournies then the beginning of the rebuys don't really apply because the play is much more aggressive. And the middle might not play the same because the blinds are still pretty big even with all of the chips in play.

More gametime than practice, but...

Pokerroom's Grand III tournament on August 6 and 7. $1000 buyin, lots of satellites. I think you get 5k in chips and blinds start 10-20 w/ 30 minute levels.

Too bad I'm in Vegas that weekend...

That does sound good... the VC poker cup is between August 1st and August 5th... but I think I might register for that tourney myself.

EDIT: $1K?? WHAT?? F THAT!
