Default 2/4 Limit - Trips

I know this is standard, but did I get the most money out possible? Should I cap preflop? Should I raise the flop?

This is fine if you know MP3 bets the turn and expect CO to call, but generally I like to checkraise this on the flop. If MP3 likes his hand, you'll win even more (typically by calling the 3-bet and checkraising the turn, and sometimes straight capping the flop). The line you took can backfire in many ways, the most common being CO folding to the initial turn bet or even to your raise.

All considered, I think checkraising the flop is clearly better.

Against a passive villain (who won't 3-bet the flop with AK), I like this line. Against an aggressive one, I like a flop raise/call, check-raise the turn line.

sans reads i think this is ok. a flop bet/call might be good.

No, no!

You don't want CO folding on the flop here.

This was like the 7th hand or so, so no reads on anyone yet.

Thanks for the input guys.

Results:

CPSUpoker shows [ Tc, Td ] three of a kind, tens.
mapman72 doesn't show [ Qh, Qc ] a pair of queens.
