Default standard KQs or weak?

Hand converter is down, sorry. No special reads except that the villain seems to be a bit loose and passive.

Villain calls, everybody folds to me in LP and I raise with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO, SB and the villain calls.

FLOP: (4 players)
J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
check-villain bets-I raise-CO folds-SB calls-villain 3-bets-I call-SB calls.

TURN:
J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB bets - villain bets - I fold.

I play it the same as long as it's two bets back to you on the turn. Sucks being 3-bet into like that on the flop, but good raise nonetheless.

I call at least the present bet/raise on the turn, with only a 2-flush on the board and overcards (discounted, though, since 2 of those outs make the 3-flush for villains), unless I think they will continue to raise here. I'm doubting there are any pocket pairs QQ-AA. Probably JJ, flush/straight draws. Might be set of 7s or 3s, but with the fairly large pot, and what I think are some winning outs for you, I would be inclined to call here.

If you think they will continue to raise on the turn, then I might re-consider calling here b/c I think at that point the odds are against you.

If flush or straight card comes on the river, then I may still call with the large pot.

So, um, why'd you raise the flop?

I'd call the bet on the flop here, and fold to a bet on the turn unimproved. I don't get the raise on the flop?

I also must disagree with the flop raise. We have overcards and a couple of backdoors, but 2 of our overcards are tainted.

Why did you raise the flop?

I'm not being facetious and the question isn't rhetorical.

Why did you raise the flop? Discussion about this would be helpful for all.
