Canterbury Question
Will be heading up there this weekend with 3 other guys. Two questions:
1) I prefer hold em but my friends like O/8. We often play in a HOE game at the local casino. Does Canterbury spread a game upon request? For example, a 20/40 HOE or 30/60 HOE. 2) If the answer is yes, would there be enough interest in the club to fill the game up? Also, by HOE, I mean one round of holdem followed by one round of 0/8.

I've never seen a game spread that is outside the "normal" rotation, and definitely never seen a mixed game. However, you will have plenty of hold 'em to play, and your friends should have little trouble finding an Omaha 8 game.

You can play all the limit hold'em you can stand, but other games are much more sporadic. There was a weekly $20/40 O/8 game with a half-kill, but that has apparently died. Same with the $30/60 stud/8 game. Both games went daily during last year's Fall Classic. So you're stuck playing in a juicy $30/60 HE game. BTW, HOE is Hold'em, Omaha/8, and Stud/8. What you have a hold of there is HO. If people like hold'em more than Omaha, and who doesn't, you could play H2O. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
