U believe you are God.."
I realize there's a problem with this statement logically, but let's ignore that. A wise person said this to me one time... I can't help but think of David when I think of this statement.

[/ QUOTE ] Why would you consider someone who said this to you to be wise? Wisdom implies the ability to think clearly and articulate clearly. This is clearly neither well thought out, nor well conveyed. What are some other gems they gave you?

This is a basically true statement. It doesn't mean each individual thinks he is an eternal, all-wise, all-powerful being. It means that if one rejects the true God, he takes over the position of final authority for himself, effectively performing the role of God for his own life. The only ultimate he recognizes is himself.
