blind steals / re-steals
Literally my second hand at the table. No reads. What's my line on this non-broadway flop? Fold the small pot? Is this a good spot to apply Shill's check-call down strategy?
(Does anyone fold 33 preflop in the SB in this spot?) Re: blind steals / re-steals
I would 3 bet the flop and lead the turn. If capped on the flop then I would dump it and move on. I'm kind of aggressive when it comes to steals though.

I would 3 bet the flop and lead the turn. [/ QUOTE ] You mean bet/3-bet or check-raise? Note that in the actual hand, I checked. |

Re: blind steals / re-steals
This hand is quite a bit different then the typical blind steal situation.
- Bigger pot - Don't know much about the villian - Drawing super thin here if behind - Villian figures to have a better hand in this spot Having said that, I think that you are giving up too much by just folding here. These hands are so damn tough to play well...I guess I would check/call the flop and bet/fold the turn. Value bet the river as well if just called. Flat calling down with just 2 outs when behind is pretty bad IMO. Sometimes you will get moved off the hand by donking the turn, but you should be doing a lot of check/call-leading against aggressive players with good hands too so it isn't totally obvious that you are weak here. Re: blind steals / re-steals
this is def. not wa/wb. you're opponent has *at least* two overcards that could hit.

Re: blind steals / re-steals
I'm no expert on Blind play, but I think you have to bet out on the flop and keep betting every street as long as BB is calling. Fold on any street you get raised.

Re: blind steals / re-steals
call this and lead out on a blank turn (non-face card).
being your second hand, it would be tough to play not knowning villain's aggression or folding capability. so you can only guess that if you're reraised, that you are behind to a paired T or higher pair and should fold. |
