Default 10 buy in downswing

I've been real card dead, and when I have good cards they get run over by draws. Is a ten buy in down swing in a row unheard of?

its not unheard of, but, youre probably leaking. i would guess its bad luck leading to tilt.

Not unheard of but they are almost always paired with poor play. I had a big downswing myself and came to realize it was becuase of several leaks.

What was your win rate before the streak started and over how many hands?

10 buy-ins is a very deep downturn for a winning player. It can happen, but its usually a combination of bad luck, no cards and bad play caused by frustration/tilt.

When I hit 4 buy in, I get worried and start reviewing alot of my hands to see if Im doing anything seriously wrong.

I also know guys who win and lose 4 buy ins every session so alot depends on what style you play.

I know a couple of them, but the one guy Im thinking of in particular will start a session by losing 4-5 buy ins because he plays SOOOOO LAGgy, but he almost always ends up with a huge stack.

One time in a Party 6 max game he had something like a $4000 stack. Thats not the exact number but the number is so high that I wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt seen the hand histories for the entire session. If I remember right he left with like $3300.

Hes the best LAG Ive ever seen.

Personally, I have a 4 buy in losing streak less than once a month and I would have an ulcer if I played like this guy.
