Another KK situation
You sit down at a Party 200 full ring table, post in the CO and pick up KK your first hand. A player you don't know raises to $7 UTG+1, folded to another player you don't know who makes it $25 and its folded to you. Assume both players have you covered and are roughly equivalent in stack size.

[ QUOTE ]
I call and plan on going nuts unless an ace or queen flops. [/ QUOTE ] This happened to me this morning (except the reraise was to only $22, not $25). I had stats and/or notes on 5 people at the table but the two people who raised and reraised were unknown to me. I called the raise, as did the original raiser and 3 of us saw a flop of 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (~$65) Checked to PF reraiser who bets $25, I raised to $80 straight without the king of hearts in my hand. If he pushes, I think I've pot stuck myself and I'll call hoping he's a donk. If the UTG guy comes over the top of both the reraiser's bet and my flop raise, I think I have to call and like it even less. If the PF reraiser calls/pushes an UTG all-in checkraise, I don't know what I'll do. |

Re: Another KK situation
I like it so far. I go to the felt here. You're not that deep, you're against unknowns, you quite likely have the best hand.

Re: Another KK situation
Re-raise, I don't see much of a plan for a rag flop if you both call and he leads for $75.

Re: Another KK situation
Reraise is only best if they will call with worse hands.
a cold 3-bet preflop is easily figured out as AA or KK, and they fold everything other than AA and you are destroyed. Calling is pretty good. And yes - I go to the felt on this sort of flop, with this hand, in this position and with these stacks. |

Re: Another KK situation
there is no way i'm folding to a push from either player on this flop. there are just too many possible holdings, you beat all but one. i call and pray i don't see AA.

It's unlikely anyone's going to be in here with rags... I would take that chance for the opportunity to keep the other guy on the lead and somewhat disguise my hand. |

Re: Another KK situation
UTG+1 has correct odds preflop to call with a smaller PP and flop a set. Thus raise.

[/ QUOTE ] + I think its fair to say re-raising guy might push if he has AA allowing us to get away? Is it fair to say that 95% of the time he goes over the top he has AA? |
