Default 2/4 with big draw, help on turn.

Just sat down at the table. No reads on anyone yet. I just wanted some input on the turn. I was going to raise it until MP1 raised. Is this a automatic 3bet?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $2.
UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, SB completes, UTG (poster) checks.

Flop: (6 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, MP3 folds, Hero calls, SB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)

its really not a "big" mistake. hes usually passing up equity but not as much as the word "big" indicates.

I just called the flop to keep others in the pot, then waiting the turn to raise. I thought my raise would lose some callers.

Why would you want to lose people on the turn? Do you really like drawing HU as a 2:1 underdog when you could play 3 or 4 way as a 2:1 underdog?

I would much rather lose them when I'm a 60/40 favorite or better. Better yet I want them to coldcall my flop raise.

That isnt the point. If MP bet out on the turn, you should not raise there. It would be a big -EV raise.
