He's not listed under the cash qualifiers for Stars. He probably paid cash.

MrPokeJoke (allegedly Matusow) qualified under a FPP Stars tourney. Watching the final table, everyone at the table (Railbirds and players) treated MrPokeJoke like Matusow. I don't recall an actual admission from MrPokeJok that he was "The Mouth", but he could have won the spot on stars and just taken the seat, not signing the player agreement in order to get the 1K "Room and Board" Portion of the spot won. This was an option in the player agreement.

Matusow is a member of the Full Tilt Poker group now - he MAY have gotten his entry comped by the FTP team. who knows...

I think it's different for FPP qualifiers.
If you qualify via FPP then you are already obligated to wear the Stars stuff. If you qualify via cash-satellite then you can get the free hotel IF you agree to wear the stuff...OR you can get the $1k in cash. FWIW - I find it very unlikely that Matusow qualified via an FPP tourney on Stars. Also - on the Stars blog of remaining stars players he has not been mentioned. To the original question - I don't know if Matusow would get the $10-mil or not. Was it just for 'regular' joe-shmoe qualifiers or is it for the big-name endorsers also? Isn't Ivey a Full-Tilt guy also? |

Matusow did win a stars wsop seat thats for sure. He goes by the name of mrpokejoke, or something like that on Stars. I saw him get down to heads up in the daily 1000 FPP satellite. Matusow held a slight chip lead, and re-raised all in with 99, he was called by JJ insantly. A 9 flopped, and Mike won the seat.
However I don't see him in the FPP list, so I think Stars just gave him the 11k, since he's part of Full Tilt |

Allen Cunningham was the only known pro to win his WSOP on Full Tilt, making him eligible for the extra $10 million, although I don't know if the fact that he's a team Full Tilt member would disqualify him for the extra $10 million if he won.
