Flying with Chip Case
Has anyone had any problems travelling with an aluminum chip case full of metal-slug chips? I'm thinking they'll look kinda funky going through X-Ray and I don't want to end up in Gitmo.
It's an international flight, to boot (Canada). Thanks! |

Re: Flying with Chip Case
Best to learn Arabic before you go... you'll need it.
Also, metal slug chips suck. |

Re: Flying with Chip Case
I brought 200 chips in a case in my carry-on one time. I guess it looked suspicious going through x-ray (or they just couldn't figure out what it was). They unpacked the whole bag, looked at the chips, and it was fine. Only problem was that they didn't give a flying fvck how they repacked my bag, and couldn't even get it shut again. Assholes.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer airport security give a second glance to a aluminum box full of weird metal filled discs. Sure it's easily explained but I want 'em askin' the question.

Re: Flying with Chip Case
Yeah one time i was flying and had 300 chips in an alumium brief case, with an ethernet cord, and a computer mouse. All of this was in my backpack. I guess that just didn't look right going through x-ray and they searched my bag real good and asked me some questions.
Everything turned out fine and the guy asked me if i was a professional...since professional always carry around cheapass e-bay cheaps in their backpack so they can practice chip tricks and how to neatly stack their chips... |

Why do you think this would happen? |

Re: Flying with Chip Case
I brought 1500 WSOP chipco replicas in my checked baggage from Detroit to Germany with no problems at all. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Worse case scenario you get asked a few questions. If I can get into Nazi Germany with a freakin portable casino you should have no problems getting into Canada. They let serial teen rapist/killers go free and gays marry, few poker chips won't even looked at twice.

I couldn't imagine they are just going to let you slide through. I would definitely give myself a lot of extra time! |
