JTo to straight, two pair turn
UTG: Loose neutral player... read only from stats, just sat down.
UTG+1: Loose, very passive player. MP3: fishy fishy, but a bit more aggressive postflop than the average trout BB: Tag, but EXTREMELY tight preflop. Re: JTo to straight, two pair turn
My thoughts... call the turn. Fold to river, when missed?

Re: JTo to straight, two pair turn
call this turn, and I'd probably call one on river. Turn raise is excessive

Re: JTo to straight, two pair turn
i'd have folded the flop. your J outs puts 4 to a straight plus a small pot.

Re: JTo to straight, two pair turn
(grunching)
More experienced 2+2ers, could someone explain to me what a stop-and-go usually indicates, and where you use it in your play? I've never really found much use for it due to total ignorance. That said, I think I can find a raise on the river here. I don't think he has a K if he didn't cap the turn. Edit: Eh wait, there was someone behind him so it's not a stop and go, so he may have just wanted MP3 to call and lead out again on the river. In that case call, sorry. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not that experienced, but I would consider this a stop n go. I'm kind of getting used to them at party 1/2. I don't understand why someone would do this, but I would be thinking during this hand, 'OK, he didn't cap the turn so proably doesn't have a K. I'm think he has an A and either doesn't want a free showdown, hit his kicker on the river, or is a complete moran and needs to be punished.' That's why I call with my 2 pair and check the hand history for my note on the fish. |

Re: JTo to straight, two pair turn
There's no reason to raise the turn here. Call down. You're not folding a K, you're folding hands you beat. And the bettor could easily have a king and 3-bet you.
