Trifecta anyone?
Great LA live game. 2 loose bad limpers and I limp with 55. Suits unimportant IIRC. mikel raises, BB comes along and we all call. 5 to the flop.
flop: Q,5,x checked to mike who bets, 2 caller, I check raise, mike 3 bets, others fold, I call. turn Q I checkraise, mike calls and says with 1BB in his hand getting ready to pay off the river "if you flopped a set of fives this is for you." river is a blank. Trifecta anyone? |

Bet the river...
It would be awesome if you check-raised the river and he 3-bet you w/ QQ. |

here are mike\'s comments from a PM
"i think you woulda bet and been so confused that you paid off too."
no it would not have confused me. i wouldve 3 bet the turn if i were confused. you were a huge favorite to have 55 and only 55. i might have even checked down the river out of both fear and as a friendly gesture. the more i think about it there's pretty much no way i pay off that river c/r. especially after the comment i made it wouldve been too humiliating/foolish to call. you made the right play by betting. remember i laid my kings up down to you for one bet on the river when you made your flush? |
