Default Hourly rate

People often consider winning 1 big bet per hour (probably 2+ online) to be a reasonable goal for how much you can win at limit poker. What are your thoughts for no limit and pot limit? What is a reasonable expectation over a long period of time for a big bet player?

Here is a more specific example. Suppose I am reasonably skilled at limit hold em, no-limit hold em, and pot-limit Omaha. Let's say I can win $4X/hour playing limit hold em online with blinds of $X/$2X.

What size blinds would I need to play at at no-limit hold em to make $4X/hour? What about pot-limit Omaha.

I have my own personal results for these games, but right now, the results are dominated by statistical variance.

This has been covered quite a bit. You should try using the search function before posting. I'm not sure about PLO, but for NL a good winrate is 7-10 PTBB/100. Over 10 is exceptional. A PTBB is 2 big blinds.

I'm hardly a PT stats expert, I just know a little that I use to evaluate my play. The 9/10 PTBB/100 is an excellent winrate for the lower stakes NL games, I have no idea if that is sustainable or not at 100. I would suspect yes, but I don't think 5/6 is bad at all.

Couldn't hurt.

don't move down unless your bankroll is thin.
