Default standard preflop play

Game is 6 handed. UTG raises. folded to you with the button. What is the minimum pocket pair you need to play? And should you usually 3 bet to try to get it heads up or is there a time when you should limp in? This is all barring no reads against a random UTG player.

I usually 3-bet 77+ and fold worse.

Sans reads I'm 3-betting 77+ and mucking everything else. I'm almost never cold calling a raise with a pp in the situation you describe.

i thought 77 would be my cutoff too on the button, but I wasn't sure if that was too loose. As UTG, what would be the cutoff for raising? Same thing - 77 -- or would you need a better hand to raise?
