Default A long, torturous problem...

I understand the existence of variance...truly I do. I don't expect to win every time. I understand that, if I don't win more than one standard deviation outside the normal, expected swing of a particular limit, it is not significant to lose the same amount.

But...what I struggle with is the fact that I have the alarming ability to go on what I believe to be a streak of wins beyond statistical significance(i.e. due to my superior skills), then lose the exact same amount back to even. It's to the point where the only smart thing I feel I can do is go on a run, then quit poker completely...but that's not an intelligent nor realistic option...so what should I do? Do you loosen up once you've dragged in a few good pots?
Do you play super tight when you are stuck and gambool when ahead?
