Default Bad laydown?

Villian is sla-a.
My question is was my laydown correct or should i call the river?
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop: (2 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls.

Just call it. He could be trying to make a move on your percieved 9.
