Default 88 gets raised on the flop...

Villain seems to be a SLAG, but 30 hands means I have no read.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 4 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, MP1 folds, BB folds, Hero???

Once upon a time, I routinely folded here without questioning it...

Edited my post, I don't know anything about him yet except that he appears to be on the loose and aggressive side of the fence.

I'd want to go to showdown with this against some players but as a default it's a fold especially in a generally passive game.

i think this is a pretty easy fold.

do you think he's coldcalling 67s there and then raising an oesd on the flop? even that doesn't make sense.

All I'm gonna say is, you're giving random bad 2/4 players too much respect.

i don't think so. there is no way you're ahead often enough to warrant a calldown on that dry of a flop when you consider your effective odds. the pot just isn't that big.

2/4 is easy because of all the bad calling stations that can't fold when they're pretty clearly beat, don't become one of them.

I grind my teeth and call it down. Most players are just as likley to to do this with A5 or 76 as they are with a Q. Getting over 10-1 I can't find the fold button here.

I don't know about the raise PF. I'd limp here. I'd still fold here with no real read. you didn't give any stats, and I doubt that he is raising with a hand that you beat

That would be find if you were going to be all-in, but you have two big bet streets coming up and reverse implied odds. In addition, I doubt very much that this player has 76. FWIW, I think that the odds of his having a hand like AQ/KQ/QJs/QTs etc. are much greater than the odds of his having A5 and then raising the flop with this holding.
