An interesting break decision
1/2 at UB, I open raise in the CO with 23366, SB calls. I discard the wrong 3, leaving me with 2d3d6s. He draws two, I draw the 4d, bet and he calls. He draws one, I draw the 5d. Check-check. He draws one again.
I dropped the 5, anyone drop the 6? I think maybe I should have anyway. |

Re: An interesting break decision
I think dropping the 5 is right.
Since you're both drawing one, you want to avoid the possibility of the flush. Surely, that's worth more than drawing slightly better. |

Re: An interesting break decision
I would keep the 6 here as well, you are killing a lot of outs (even Kd and Ad might help you) by drawing to a flush.
Twodimes gives dumping the 5 about a 13% improvement against somebody drawing to a 7, enough to swing the odds in your favor for several cases. |

Re: An interesting break decision
Consider betting out and taking none. You've seen a ton of cards under 6, he is very unlikely to draw into a hand he can call a stand pat with. I think this line will yeild the most profit out of the hand, plus if he check calls you on the last round, you look like a total idiot, and can get a lot more calls from pat hands later in the session.

[ QUOTE ]
Consider betting out and taking none. [/ QUOTE ] It might be because I haven't been caught snowing in a couple weeks, but that is the smartest thing I've ever heard. Obviously, you shouldn't do it everytime, but this is definitly a good spot that I wouldn't have previously considered snowing. |
